This week has been a very confusing one for royal fans I’m sure, with the news that Prince William and Princess Kate are moving to an eight bedroom hang in Windsor, quaintly called the Forest Lodge.
So far, there’s been a plethora of news suggesting that the big bad Waleses caused two families to move out of their property so that they could safely move into theirs, and, you might chuckle a bit at this, Prince William isn’t going to be a full-time King.
You might be wondering why, but apparently the Waleses don’t plan on living full-time at Buckingham Palace, even when Prince William becomes King. If you put two and two together, then it means that Prince William, or rather King William, will not be a full-time monarch. I dare ya to say it’s not an interesting conclusion. But if you think that’s all, you’ve got a new think coming.
Prince William and Kate Middleton Not Afraid To Say “No” To Royal Rules That Constrain Them
From the get go, Prince William has made it clear that he’s a family man, and one of the things he and wife Princess Kate want for their children is privacy and a normal upbringing.
One of the ways they’re keeping to this commitment as parents is by moving to the largely private Forest Lodge. This, we hear, is being done in pursuit of a better “mental health and family life.”
“The new house marks a new era for the family,” the insider began, adding, “The decision to move into this new home is a significant one that signals independence, though it is not entirely surprising.”
Speaking to Marie Claire, the insider noted, “They have witnessed how the role of monarch can consume one’s entire being. While they take their responsibilities very seriously, they are not afraid to say no when necessary.”
Royal Expert Hannah Furness Commends Prince William For His Honesty
However controversial the move has been, Hannah Furness did see an upside to it. For this reason, she praised the couple in her Telegraph column for being upfront about their person feelings towards some of the Monarchy’s stuffy traditions.
Hannah Furness wrote for the Telegraph: “Full marks to Prince William for honesty this week. He has made clear that he has no intention of living full time at Buckingham Palace, even when he is King.”
She added, “Controversial, certainly. But there is something refreshing in letting it be known now, upfront, and getting any criticism out of the way.”
