People have a tendency to compare Prince Harry with his older brother Prince William, which comes with the territory, but at the same time, it must grow tiresome with one royal expert saying Harry and Meghanare doing their own thing and are not thinking about their in-laws.

The Sussexes have built a life for themselves in the US, where they live with their two children, Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4, and it appears to be “pretty full,” but even so, there are theories about the Sussexes holding onto resentment, with claims that they are jealous of Prince William and Princess Kate trading in Adelaide Cottage for Forest Lodge.

The Express US spoke with royal expert Pauline Maclaran, co-author of Royal Fever and Professor of Marketing and Consumer Research at Royal Holloway, who shared her thoughts on the matter.

Maclaran said: “I think Harry and Meghan have their own lives in the US which seem to be pretty full on, especially with Meghan’s new lifestyle programme and merchandising etc.

She added: “So, I doubt if they will really pay much attention to this move.”

There’s been talk about the Waleses outgrowing Adelaide Cottage for a while now, so it’s not all that surprising that they’re moving to a bigger home, Forest Lodge, which is also in Windsor.

According to Maclaran, Harry and Meghan are living large in California, and aren’t all that bothered by the “faded glory” that is celebrated in the UK.

Maclaran said: “I doubt if William and Kate’s new residence is anywhere near as luxurious as their own in the US!”

Maclaran expanded on the matter, that Harry and Meghan have made a big investment in their Montecito mansion and that their tastes may be different from that of William and Kate.

Maclaran explained: “We know that Harry and Meghan spent $3M refurbishing Frogmore Cottage when they moved there so I don’t think they’re likely to be jealous of Forest Lodge which also has eight bedrooms like Frogmore and the same ‘faded glory’ appeal that may not have appealed to Meghan as much as it does the Brits!”
