Phillip Tidman, of Boulevard, appeared at Bristol Crown Court on August 21 2025.
He was charged with threatening a person with an offensive weapon and racially/religiously aggravated intentional harassment.
The 46-year-old pleaded guilty and was handed a 12 month prison sentence, suspended for 18 months for threatening someone with a screwdriver.
He was given a three month suspended sentence for the harassment charge, to run concurrently.

Tidman was ordered to take part in a rehabilitation activity requirement for up to 30 days.
He also has to pay £250 in compensation and was handed a restraining order for three years.
No order was made for a surcharge payment as priority was given to compensation.
