Merger unites two green mobility players with a shared focus on renewable energy and customer-oriented charging solutions.
German provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure Wirelane has announced the acquisition of Ladegrün, one of the country’s most sustainability-driven charging infrastructure operators.
Ladegrün runs a nationwide network of charging points powered exclusively by 100% certified green electricity. The merger brings together two key players committed to advancing environmentally friendly and customer-focused e-mobility.
Wirelane CEO Constantin Schwaab said: “With Ladegrün at our side, we strengthen our shared goal of making sustainable and customer-friendly e-mobility available to all parts of society. The uncompromising focus on true green power and flexible business models complements our offering perfectly.”
Founded in 2020 by renewable energy pioneers EWS Elektrizitätswerke Schönau, Green Planet Energy (formerly Greenpeace Energy), naturstrom, the Inselwerke cooperative, and GLS Bank, Ladegrün has built a reputation for environmentally responsible infrastructure serving organic supermarkets such as Alnatura, as well as public spaces. Its mission emphasizes energy independence from coal and nuclear power.
Jan-Philip von Gottberg, Managing Director of Ladegrün, added: “We are convinced that true sustainability begins in everyday life – where people shop, work and live. With Wirelane as a partner, we can translate this conviction into even more charging locations.”
Together, Wirelane and Ladegrün! aim to set new standards in sustainable charging infrastructure, offering end-to-end services from planning to installation and operation. Their combined portfolio provides climate-friendly, legally compliant, and scalable charging solutions for cities, municipalities, hotels, and retail and leisure destinations across Germany.
