Leeds United are in the market for more signings after bringing in a tenth new face over the weekend, with the £10m signing of James Justin from Leicester City.
Spending has now surpassed £100m this summer, and Leeds have finally rubber-stamped their first senior sale of the summer window. Sam Greenwood has completed a £3.5m move to Polish top-tier side Pogon.
Isaac Schmidt is set to follow him but the latest reports indicate Schmidt will join Werder Bremen on loan, with a permanent option worth between £2.5m and £3.5m included. He will be in Germany on Thursday.
Plenty is still happening at Leeds, with Daniel Farke keen to bring in an attacker that can play in multiple positions in the final third, with Juventus’ Nico Gonzalez touted. Another is Getafe’s Christantus Uche.

Leeds have been linked with Uche for a large part of the summer, with reports initially emerging in June that Leeds were willing to activate a release clause for Uche. It is unclear if that clause is still active.
Most-recent suggestions have been that Nigeria international Uche was set for Wolves. But a stand-off between Uche’s agent and Getafe’s president has seen a £19m move stall, with the deadline on Monday.
Now, Diario AS reporter Eduardo Burgos reports on X that Uche’s move to Wolves has now fallen through and other clubs are ‘entering the scene’. Leeds are one of four named, alongside Crystal Palace and Milan.
He said on X: “The transfer of Uche to Wolves has stalled. The player, via agents, is blocking the move… for now. Other clubs enter the scene: Nice, Crystal Palace, Leeds, and Milan. Others may fall into place.”

Which other players are Leeds targeting before deadline?
There are several names Leeds are said to be monitoring before a move this summer. Manor Solomon has been linked regularly, and Solomon’s wife has added fuel to the fire by liking comments from Leeds fans.
Then there is Gonzalez, as aforementioned. Gonzalez has handed in a transfer request at Juventus after Graham Smyth confirmed Leeds’ interest. Leicester only want to sell Bilal El Khannouss to a Saudi side.
Leicester want £35m for him, with the club under no pressure to sell thanks to Justin’s move to Leeds and Kasey McAteer joining Ipswich. Facundo Buonanotte was left out of Brighton’s side again last night.
Brighton want to send Buonanotte on loan to a Premier League club and that means, Leeds are leading the race for Buonanotte despite interest from the likes of Dortmund and Lyon in the Argentine playmaker.
