Big tailbacks have built up on a major motorway near Birmingham following an early-morning crash.
It happened on the southbound carriageway of the M6 between Junction seven, for Great Barr, and six, Spaghetti Junction, shortly before 7am on Thursday, August 28.
Initially National Highways closed three of the four lanes of the motorway after the crash led to a fuel spill.

There were delays of 45 minutes and tailbacks stretching for five miles.
But the agency confirmed two of the three closed lanes later opened, with one remaining closed.
West Midlands Ambulance Service and police traffic officers are at the scene.

The single lane closure still led to long delays with National Highways saying: “Delays of 30 minutes on the approach, five miles of congestion, almost back to J9 Wednesbury.”
Traffic information service Inrix said there were also delays in the other direction, possibly due to drivers looking at the incident.

It posted: “Long delays and one lane closed due to accident on M6 Southbound from J7 A34 Birmingham Road (Great Barr) to J6 A38 Tyburn Road (Spaghetti Junction). Lanes two and three have reopened with lane one (of four) remaining closed.
“The hardshoulder is used as a live lane in this stretch. Delays on the opposite side are likely due to onlookers.”
