West Bromwich Albion winger Tom Fellows is set for a move to Southampton.
The two sides have agreed on a package worth £10million for the 22-year-old, with a sell-on clause also included in the deal. West Brom recognise the deal as good business, generating pure profit through the sale of an academy product. They are expected to look to replace Fellows before the end of the window.
Fellows came close to a move to Everton in January, with significant progress made over an £8m transfer. However, when early wins under David Moyes eased relegation fears, the club’s hierarchy decided not to pull the trigger.
Aside from a loan at Crawley Town in the 2022-23 season, Fellows has spent his entire youth and professional career with West Brom, making his senior debut for the side in December 2021. He has recorded nine goals and 19 assists in 96 games for the club.
A move to St. Mary’s would see Fellows become Southampton’s fourth signing of the summer, following the arrivals of forward Damion Downs, centre-back Joshua Quarshie and full-back Mads Roerslev.
