Firefighters have battled a massive blaze in Glasgow as huge plumes of smoke billow into the night sky.
Emergency crews raced to Benview Street in the Ruchill Park area of the city at around 8.10pm last night after receiving a report of a single-story building on fire.
Three fire crews, including two appliances and a height appliance, rushed to the scene where flames could be seen engulfing a building as black smoke filled into the sky.
Fire crews remained at the scene throughout the night and re-attended today at around 9.15am to ensure the area was safe.
There are no reported casualties and the cause of the fire is not yet known.

Local residents in Murano Street, Bilsland Drive, Lenny Street and Benview Street and students at the Murano Street Student Village may have been affected by the smoke and were advised to avoid Ruchill Park and keep windows and doors closed to prevent smoke inhalation.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We received the initial call at 8.10pm to a report of a single-story building on fire in Ruchill Park area of Glasgow.
“We mobilised two appliances and a height appliance to the scene. We remained there throughout the night and crews have re-attended the scene today at 9.15am to make sure everything was alright. There were no reported casualties.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson added: “Police are assisting Scottish Fire and Rescue Service colleagues at the scene of a large fire at a derelict building on Benview Street, Ruchill, Glasgow.
“Due to the heavy smoke from the fire, local residents are advised to avoid Ruchill Park, and to keep windows and doors closed, especially in the areas of Murano Street, Bilsland Drive, Benview Street, Lenny Street.
“Enquiries into the cause of the fire are continuing.”
