Crystal Palace have verbally agreed a deal to sign Getafe forward Christantus Uche, and he’s arrived in London to sign for the club, according to GIVEMESPORT senior correspondent Fabrizio Romano.

Palace recently secured the signing of Villarreal winger Yeremi Pino, but he’s one of a few additions who will immediately improve the starting XI. Borna Sosa and Walter Benitez also arrived through the door, but they are likely to be cover and competition options for the Eagles.

The capital club also lost talisman Eberechi Eze to Arsenal, so it’s imperative that they get some deals over the line before the 7pm deadline today.

Fabrizio Romano: Uche Verbally Agrees Crystal Palace Deal

Crystal Palace head coach Oliver Glasner

Reporting on X, Romano has confirmed that Getafe forward Uche has arrived in London ahead of signing a deal with Premier League side Crystal Palace. The versatile attacker has verbally agreed a deal with the Eagles, with Getafe expected to sell him before the 7pm deadline…

“Christantus Uche, in London to sign at Crystal Palace today as deal is now verbally agreed. Getafe expect all formal steps to be respected on Monday to sell Uche.”

Uche, described as ‘superb’ by talent scout Jacek Kulig, has been deployed as a centre-forward recently, but he’s also capable of playing in a deeper role as a midfielder. His versatility could make him a useful option for Oliver Glasner’s side, with the Palace boss needing players to cover multiple positions as they prepare to compete in Europe as well as domestically.
