Throughout his incredibly impressive boxing career, Terence Crawford has scored some huge knockouts, but none were more terrifying than his KO over David Avanesyan.
On September 13, Terence Crawford takes on by far his toughest test to date when he clashes against Canelo Alvarez in an undisputed super middleweight title fight from the Allegiant Stadium in Vegas.
The clash is undoubtedly the biggest boxing fight of the year and it marks the inaugural event put together by Dana White and Turki Alalshikh‘s TKO boxing.
Ahead of their fight, Canelo and Crawford met for the first time earlier this year when they almost clashed at the pre-fight press conference.

Donning a 41-0 unblemished record, Crawford will be hoping to put on another incredible performance and return to the form that saw him score 11 finishes in a row.
And when he returned home to Nebraska in 2022 to take on David Avanesyan, he scored one of the most brutal knockouts of his career.
After becoming the first fighter to finish Shawn Porter and subsequently retire him, Crawford was booked to defend his title against Avanesyan in his hometown of Nebraska.
As expected, when the fight began ‘Bud’ Crawford began slow and took a few rounds to find his rhythm and flow of the fight.
Despite that, Avanesyan continued to put on forward pressure and forced the champion to fight off his back foot, and this led to Crawford beginning to attack the body of the challenger.
And after investing in the body attacks throughout the fight, it paid dividends for Crawford in round six when he landed a left uppercut followed by a right hook that sent his opponent crashing down to the canvas.
The referee immediately recognized the brutality of the knockout and didn’t even count the challenger out and instead called for the medical team to come into the ring immediately.
Canelo once admitted he wasn’t interested in fighting Crawford
Despite the weight discrepancy between the two, Canelo and Crawford have seemingly been on a collision course heading for each other for a while now.
However, after the Mexican beat Jermell Charlo in 2023, he was asked about a potential clash against ‘Bud’, to which he admitted he wasn’t interested and Crawford wasn’t in his plans.
But now the two will clash in what guarantees to be the biggest boxing fight of the year, with the winner walking away as the undisputed super middleweight champion.
