Cheltenham Town are set to complete the loan signing of Bristol Rovers’ Isaac Hutchinson before Monday’s 7pm transfer deadline.
The 25-year-old attacking midfielder has previously been with Southend United, Derby County and Walsall, along with loan spells at Forest Green Rovers and Crawley Town, having started out in the youth set-up at Brighton & Hove Albion.
He was signed by current Robins boss Michael Flynn for Walsall in 2022 and was the Saddlers’ Player of the Year in 2023/24.
Upon signing him for the first time, Flynn said: “He’s at the right age, he’s hungry and is a player that I’m excited to be working with and help progress his career.”
Hutchinson, who has made nearly 200 EFL appearances, will become Cheltenham’s 12th signing of the summer window and their third on deadline day following Sam Sherring and Tom Taylor on loan from MK Dons and Ipswich Town respectively.
Winger Ethon Archer’s six-figure move to League One club Luton Town was also completed on Monday, but he will return immediately to Cheltenham on loan until January 3.
