Police were called to concerns for a man’s welfare at a home on Palmerston Road, just off Kilburn High Road, around 3.15 today (September 1).

Officers and London Ambulance Service medics arrived, who treated a man in his 30s for stab wounds.

Police believe that the wounds are self-inflicted.

He remains in hospital with injuries described as serious, but not life-threatening or changing.

Police remain at the scene.

Pictures from the incident show a man standing out of a third floor window, as police speak to him inside the building.

A Met Police spokesperson said: “On Monday, 1 September at 15:16hrs police were called following concerns for the welfare of a man at a residential property on Palmerston Road, NW6.

“Met officers and the London Ambulance Service attended the scene, where a man in his 30s was treated for stab wounds.

“At this stage, it’s believed that his injuries are self-inflicted. 

“The man has been taken to hospital where he remains with serious injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing. 

“A scene remains in place.”

The London Ambulance Service and London Fire Brigade have been contacted for comment.
