Britain’s Got Talent has confirmed that Bruno Tonioli will not return to the series, with his replacement being swiftly announced.

The former dancer has been a judge on the ITV reality series since 2023 and appeared in three seasons, but it was confirmed via Instagram on Monday that he would be stepping down from his role due to “filming commitments”.

ITV has certainly wasted little time in securing his replacement, however, with internet personality KSI being upgraded to a full-time judge following his guest stint during the 18th season earlier this year.

The news was confirmed in an amusing video on Instagram, in which KSI gave several members of the public the dreaded red buzzer. Upon waking to realise it was a dream, he called Simon Cowell, and asked if he could return to BGT.

“I’m buzzing people in my dreams, I need to come back!,” says KSI, with Simon responding: “Okay. Well, then I have a suggestion. Please join us as a full-time judge on BGT in 2026.”
