The Greater Manchester mayor will be the guest speaker at the next Mahdlo Business Breakfast, where he will also be taking questions from the audience.

Organised by charity Mahdlo, which works to provide opportunities for young people, the event will take place between 8.30 and 10.30am on Tuesday, October 14 at the Mahdlo Youth Zone on Sir Norman Stoller Way.

It costs £9.50 to attend, which includes breakfast and refreshments. All proceeds go towards supporting young people across the borough.

Tickets can be purchased online via the Mahdlo Youth Zone website.

Mr Burnham will be discussing some of his top priorities as mayor, which includes the creation of the London-style integrated public transport service, the Bee Network, ending the housing crisis, offering new technical education pathways as an alternative to university and creating the Live Well service.

As mayor for the 10 Greater Manchester borough, Mr Burnham also oversees the region’s economy, housing, transport, policing and fire and rescue services.

He also has a history of serving in national government. He was Chief Secretary to the Treasury from 2007 to 2008, Culture Secretary from 2008 to 2009 and Health Secretary from 2009 to 2010. He later served as Shadow Home Secretary from 2015 to 2016.

The Mahdlo Business Breakfast is sponsored by Manchester-based BTM Wealth Management Ltd.
