We look ahead to Refugio playing Thursday night clash vs London Pirates
CORPUS CHIRSTI, Texas- Last week, the Refugio Bobcats took care of the Cotulla Cowboys, 48-6, at home.
New starting running back Zander Wills had a career day, carrying the ball 16 times for 169 yards and four touchdowns. He takes over for longtime running back Jordan King, who committed to play football at Southern Nazarene University.
The Bobcats also have a new quarterback in Ray Lewis, who replaces Kelan Brown this season. Last week, Lewis went 10-of-14 for 193 yards and two total touchdowns.
As Refugio looks to secure its fourth straight victory over the London Pirates, the Pirates hope to end the streak tomorrow night.
A key player to watch for London is running back Jake Castaneda, who rushed 16 times for 148 yards and two touchdowns in their 28-21 win over the Bishop Badgers.
Both teams will rely heavily on the running game, with each defense aiming to stop the run and create a big play.
