An extraordinarily large corpse of a sea animal has washed up on a Welsh beach. One visitor was left shocked on Wednesday morning, September 3, to see what she believed to be the corpse of a whale washed up on the sands of Cefn Sidan Beach in Pembrey, Carmarthenshire.

The large carcass was spotted on the tide attracting the attention of locals and visitors to the popular beach. Marine experts are likely to examine the creature to try to find out what caused its death. In previous cases around Wales, stranded whales have been found to be malnourished or affected by pollution such as plastic waste.
