Traffic and travel will be impacted this weekend as Reminisce Festival takes place in St Helens. Reminisce Festival will take over Sherdley Park on Saturday, September 6, with eight arenas and around 25,000 attendees expected.

Festivalgoers will be able to see big names perform their ’90s and ’00s classics including Cascada, Vengaboys, N-Trance, Julie McKnight and David Morales. From Friday, September 5 to Sunday, September 7 until 2am, Marshalls Cross Road will be closed. The closure will be from Scorecross to Elton Head Road.

If you are travelling to the festival by car, drop-off and pick-up points will be in place so it has been advised to “please be prepared when planning your lifts and know where your pick-up point is”.

Private vehicle and taxi drop-offs will be in the parking bays on The Score Road inside the park, accessible only via the Elton Head Road access point. Access will be denied at all other points. Pick-up points will be at at Sutton Leisure Centre car park from 7pm. There is no onsite parking.

Buses and coaches will use the bus lane on the northbound carriageway of Marshalls Cross Road for both drop-offs and pick-ups. After 10pm, vehicles with more than eight seats can also use this area for pick-ups.

Arriva Buses will operate shuttle services to Liverpool, Brownlow Hill, starting at 10pm. These services will run repeated journeys until 1am. Tickets can be purchased and buses boarded at Marshalls Cross Road.

Veezu by Britannia will be the sole taxi company with a designated drop-off and pick-up point near the Reminisce Festival site. People can arrange their taxi to be dropped off within the park and close to the main entrance. This point will be operational throughout the day.

When leaving, there’s no need to ring or use the app – simply head to the designated pick-up point. The area will be manned and secure to ensure a quick and safe journey home.

Reminisce Festival 2025 set times

The gates open to the festival at 12pm on Saturday, September 6. It will then conclude at 11pm. Set times will be released on the day of the festival.
