Officers believe the fight was an isolated incident, with no threat to the wider community. Anyone with information or who witnessed the incident is now being urged to contact the force.

This includes passers-by, or people who may have drove past the area. Police are also appealing for the driver of a Tesla to come forward after they were seen close by.

DC Callum Taylor, from GMP’s City of Manchester’s Xcalibre Task Force, said: “I am aware any incident like this will of course cause concern, but we believe the fight was isolated and there was no wider threat to members of the public.

“However, we do have extra patrols in the area and I would urge anyone with concerns to speak to an officer.

“We are already undertaking several enquiries and we are now asking for anyone who witnessed the incident to please get in touch with any information. If you saw anything – no matter how insignificant you think it may be – please get in touch with us.”
