Lena Dunham has another book on the way.

On Sept. 4, Random House, an imprint of Random House Publishing Group, announced that they will publish the Girls creator’s new memoir Famesick in 2026.

Tracing a decade in Dunham’s life, Famesick is a reflection on how the author’s health collided with her rise to fame as the creator and star of her hit show.

In the memoir, Dunham, 39, specifically recounts how she differentiated between “fighting to do what she loves and being a servant to her own ambition,” per the official synopsis, and how life in the spotlight came to impact her relationships and sense of self.

“In Famesick, Dunham asks herself what the cost of fulfilling her dreams has really been, and whether it was worth it,” the book’s synopsis continues.

Dunham said in a statement shared with PEOPLE that she’s been working on Famesick for seven years.

“It took a long time to have the perspective to tell this story with honesty, humility and the appropriate dose of humor,” Dunham explained. “I have been supported at every step of the way by my longtime editor, who encouraged me to tell the truth and nothing but the truth, so help me God.”
