The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, has come under scrutiny for what appears to be an editing mishap. During a recent interview promoting her Netflix series With Love, Meghan, eagle eyed fans noticed an awkward mistake.
In her conversation with a Bloomberg journalist, Meghan opened up about her personal journey with self-confidence. She shared that her outlook has changed over time, explaining: “I think the more comfortable you get with yourself, certainly age helps. I’ll be 44 – it’s great!
“And I just think there is a lot of value to when you anchor into your own knowing, then you’re telling your own story. You’re telling your story and how you show up in the world, what you do. You actually don’t need to say anything, you can show who you are,” she continued.
In the clip, laughter can be heard as the 44-year-old spoke about her confidence journey. However, viewers were left confused as the laughter didn’t appear to come from either woman, the Mirror reports. Meghan was speaking while journalist Emily nodded politely, leaving fans wondering who actually made the sound.
Taking to the comments one viewer pointed out: “Who is laughing? That didn’t come from Emily Chang? Her body doesn’t move?”
Whilst another penned: “Did they dub on an extra laugh to make Meghan seem more funny? WHAT??? Perhaps she has a ventriloquist hobby on the side, because that laugh didn’t look or sound like it came from her.”

A third viewer shared: “Definitely sounds like an intense burst of laughter dubbed in. She’s using laugh tracks?”
However, it seemed not everyone noticed the laughter and instead praised the duchess, with one viewer commenting: “She’s so smart and well-spoken. Such a breath of fresh air.”
Meghan’s Netflix series has once again received mixed reactions from critics. The show explores her experiences as a former member of the royal family and her current life in California as a mother of two, while sharing cooking, gardening and hosting tips with celebrity guests.
In the latest series she admits that being apart from her children left her feeling “not well.”
She said: “I’ll miss them so much [when they leave home]. You want to be the parent who’s like yes, go do it. Go do your thing. Go live that life. But I’m going to miss you so much …
“The longest I went without being around our kids was almost three weeks. I was … not well.” It is believed she was referring to the time she spent in Europe in 2022 with her husband Prince Harry.
The royal couple left their kids – Archie and Lilibet – at home in California as they visited Europe and the UK. They ended up extending their trip due to the sad death of Queen Elizabeth, with the pair in attendance at the monarch’s funeral.
