Jake Paul vs Gervonta Davis is one of the most controversially put together fights of Paul’s boxing career.

Not long ago, it was announced by Most Valuable Promotions that Jake Paul‘s next boxing outing will come against world lightweight champion Gervonta Davis.

This will mark a huge step up in competition for ‘The Problem Child’ whose last outing came against former champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

With there being a huge discrepancy in weight between the two fighters, ahead of their clash, Paul has agreed to the ‘strictest drug testing possible’ to silence his haters.

Because of ‘Tank’ Davis’ body of work in the sport so far, Paul has opened up as a massive underdog on the betting lines, despite his weight advantage.

And the matchup has been slammed by former world champion Amir Khan who fears a tragic outcome in the ‘disgusting’ fight.

Despite the popular prediction being that Davis will outbox Paul, current pound-for-pound great Terence Crawford has provided his shock prediction for the fight.

“I don’t know what’s gonna happen with a 135lber going up against a 200lber, if it’s scripted then it’s gonna be good for the fans that watch,” Crawford told Full Send.

“I think it’s not a real fight, because it can’t be a real fight because they ain’t in the same weight class so it’s more an exhibition. I think they’re gonna go in there and spar, I don’t think it’s gonna be you trying to kill me or I’m trying to kill you.

“It’s more of a business tactic than anything else. Jake’s too big for Tank… Tank is very talented, can punch hard and is explosive but… Jake can punch with that right hand, I’ve seen it up close and personal, he can punch.

“Honestly, I think Jake wins by youth… Jake’s just too big, if they really go at it he’s just too big… Jake could land one good punch on Tank and it’s over with,” Crawford predicted.

Jake Paul could win over the boxing world against Davis

Despite having been involved in some huge fights over the last few years, the majority of boxing fans severely dislike ‘The Problem Child’ and his involvement in the sport.

However, with a win over such a reputable champion like ‘Tank’, the 28-year-old could win over the boxing fans, showing that he does have a future in the sport.
