HNB Studio has opened on Union Street, at the site of the former Buck and Union pub, which closed down in February last year.
Now, the new women-only Pilates studio will look to provide women in the borough with a space to take classes in the mind-body exercise, with instructors to lead sessions for people of all levels.

A spokesperson for HNB Studio said: “The vision behind opening HNB Studio was simple yet deeply meaningful – to create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space where women can move, grow, and thrive together.
“We have built a space where every woman belongs, regardless of age, background, body type, faith, or ability.”
Different types of classes are available, including for beginners to advanced, as well as prenatal and postnatal classes.

The facilities include changing rooms, which come with a “styling station” and beauty works products, bathrooms, where sanitary products are provided, as well as hijab-friendly facilities and the Pilates equipment itself.
Visitors, who can park in the designated car park or walk from Oldham Central tram stop, can also get drinks including coffees and matcha tea from the reception.

HNB’s website says 42 classes will be available each week, running between the early morning and late evening.
The studio in Oldham town centre is the first for HNB, who are also set to open further locations in Manchester city centre, Stoke-on-Trent and Winsford in Cheshire.

The spokesperson said: “Oldham is a vibrant town full of potential, but it lacked a modern, purpose-built Pilates studio that offered women not only a place to exercise, but also a sanctuary to feel safe, included, and part of a community.
“We wanted to bring something fresh and forward-thinking to the heart of the town – a wellness space designed for women, by women.
“By choosing Oldham, we aim to give local women access to something new and modern without the need to travel into Manchester city centre.”

Planning permission was formally approved in June for the space which was previously occupied by the former Buck and Union.
The site, which was known for its eye-catching blue front, was given the go-ahead to be converted into the Pilates studio on the ground floor, while the first and second floor were approved to become apartments.
