West Midlands Police said in the early hours of yesterday morning (September 4), officers spotted a vehicle that was driving at high speeds, which subsequently failed to stop for them.

The vehicle then came to a stop on Meadow Walk, and all the occupants fled from the scene.

Following a foot chase, the three teenage boys, all aged 17, were apprehended and arrested.

The 17-year-olds, all from Cradley Heath, were arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and possession of drugs with intent to supply.

Following checks, police believe the vehicle they were travelling in was stolen, and a quantity of nitrous oxide canisters was seized.

They have been bailed pending further enquiries.
