Lewis Capaldi kicks off his Survive tour tonight with the Scots star taking to social media to issue a message ahead of his first comeback performance. The beloved singer, who will be performing in Aberdeen and Glasgow next week, will take to Sheffield tonight at the city’s Utilita arena for two back to back shows on his 17 date UK and Ireland tour.

The 28-year-old took to Instagram this evening before his first night on tour to share a snap of him walking around the empty arena in Sheffield, which holds around 12,500 people. Lewis captioned the video: “First night back on tour and new song coming soon, life is good x”

The Someone You Loved hitmaker had his upcoming track Something In The Heavens playing as the audio in the background as he lip synced along to the lyrics while doing a quick walk around the venue. Lewis also took to his Instagram Stories to share snaps of loyal fans holding up some cheeky signs whilst they waited to be let into the arena.

In another big surprise for ticket holders, he shared a video of himself signing posters which will be available to snap up at the merch stands for those who discover them first.

His video comes as Lewis has been surprising loyal fans across the UK this week by sending them parcels containing a bouquet of flowers and an audio recording with a line from his upcoming single.

Among the lucky fans to receive the package was one recently married bride who was left stunned after discovering who her flowers were from.

Shelby Greenland, who tied the knot this year, took to TikTok to explain how she ended up getting a mystery delivery from the Scots singer.

She explained: “I got home from work today to a delivery from Freddie’s Flowers that I wasn’t expecting and I hadn’t ordered.

“There was no name or anything it was just this card. I messaged the brand and asked can you please tell me who sent the flowers because I wasn’t expecting them.

“They messaged me back and said that they are from Lewis Capaldi, the Lewis Capaldi.”

Shelby opened the card as it burst into song, with the lyrics ‘I love you til’ my last breath’, from Lewis’ new single.

Among the other lucky recipients were Scots singer Susan Boyle, who Lewis has recently struck up a friendship with.

The BGT icon shared the parcel on Instagram as she videoed herself listening to the card.

She captioned the post: “@lewiscapaldi thank you so much for the beautiful flowers and your singing card! Something in the heavens tells me that this is your next No.1.

“Wishing you every success with the album and I can’t wait to come see you on tour! Susan,” followed by a red heart and a four leaf clover emoji.

Lewis is set to bring his Survive tour to Aberdeen’s P&J Live for two nights on Wednesday September 10 and Thursday September 11.

He will then play two nights at Glasgow’s OVO Hydro on Saturday September 13 and Sunday September 14.
