Police will return to the scene of a fatal traffic collision in Co Antrim this week to carry out tests.
Officers from the PSNI’s Collision Investigation Unit investigating a pedestrian being struck by a car on Doagh Road in Newtownabbey on January 13 will conduct the tests on Wednesday night.
A woman aged in her 80s died in hospital as a result of injuries sustained in the crash which happened shortly before 6.15pm.
The road will be closed for a number of hours from 9.30pm onwards with diversions in place at the junctions of Station Road and Shore Road.
“Access during this time will be facilitated for people living in the area where possible, and emergency services,” a spokesperson added.
“We thank the public, including local residents in the area for their patience as this testing is carried out.”
Police have previously appealed for anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has dash-cam footage to contact detectives on 101.
