A woman has been charged with attempted murder by counter terrorism police after a man was attacked in Bristol.
Alina Burns, 18, of Lynton Road, was arrested on Saturday, August 2 after a 27-year-old man was attacked in Bedminster.
The man suffered minor injuries as a result.
Burns appeared at Bristol Crown Court on Monday, August 4 on charges of racially aggravated actual bodily harm and three counts of possession of a bladed article.
Further enquiries were carried out and Counter Terrorism Policing South West, with Avon and Somerset Police, are leading the investigation.
Burns, who is white British, today (Monday, September 8) appeared at Bristol Crown Court additionally charged with attempted murder.
She remains in custody and is due to appear at the Central Criminal court in London on Friday, September 26.
