RTVE, the Spanish national broadcaster, has unveiled further details regarding the forthcoming edition of Benidorm Fest 2026.

RTVE is working round the clock in its quest to organize the fifth edition of Benidorm Fest next February. The Spanish national broadcaster has revealed further details regarding the 2026 Spanish national selection:

  • Borja Rueda has been appointed as the choreographer for Benidorm Fest 2026 ( he was part of JJ’s artistic team at Eurovision 2025 along with Sergio Jaen):
  • There will be staging mechanisms offered to the competing acts: in house staging (where Sergio Jaen’s artistic team will be responsible for the staging) and out house ( where the artist will use his or her own team).
  • The Benidorm 2026 Rehearsals will be open to the general public, ie tickets for the reheasals will go on sale ( most likely for the rehearsals on 09, 11 and 13 February).
  • The Benidorm Fest 2026 competing acts will be announced during the first half of October.
  • A new expert jury will be responsible to evaluate the submitted entries for Benidorm Fest and select the 16 competing acts/songs. The voting mechanism for the expert jury has been amended and modified.
  • The Benidorm Fest 2026 stage design is inspired by Benidorm’s Balcon de Europa, and will be in a pentagon shape.

Benidorm Fest 2026

RTVE will be opting to select the Spanish Eurovision entry and act via Benidorm Fest for the fifth consecutive time. The Spanish national broadcaster has published the rules and regulations for Benidorm Fest 2026. The song submission window for Benidorm Fest 2026  will close on 24 September 2025.

Benidorm Fest 2026 will consist of three live televised shows ( two semi-finals and a grand final). A total of 16 acts will partake in the competition, eight acts in each of the two semi-finals.
