The talented Leithan Louie (Sweet Lou) leads Gore trainer Tony Stratford’s trio for tomorrow’s Invercargill Harness Racing Club meeting at Ascot Park.

The three year old gelding was made second favourite on debut at the Kurow meeting after very good trials form.

He burnt a lot of gas early and finished fourth. From a good draw and with Blair Orange onboard he’s expected to go close to winning in Race Four.

Stratford has two other runners at the IHRC meeting – Lydah Valley (Sweet Lou) in Race Two and Sky Patrol (Sky Major) in Race Eight.

Lydah Valley last started at the Riverton grass meeting in January and hasn’t been sighted at any workouts or trials.
