Glamorgan County Cricket Club is pleased to confirm that Sean Dickson will join the Club from Somerset CCC on a two-year deal at the end of the 2025 season.

South African-born Dickson, who powered his side through to the Vitality Blast Finals Day on Saturday night with a sensational knock of 71 off just 26 balls, has been one of the most dynamic and consistent performers in the T20 tournament since moving to the UK in 2015.

Sean has over 100 First-Class appearances, scoring more than 5,000 runs in red-ball cricket, with a career-best of 318. We’re excited to see the vastly experienced right-handed batter wear the Daffodil at the Home of Welsh Cricket next season.

Having represented Kent, Durham and Somerset in all formats, Dickson joins the Club with a wealth of experience, having also played domestic cricket in his native South Africa with Northerns in Centurion.

Speaking of Sean’s upcoming arrival, Glamorgan Director of Cricket Mark Wallace said:

“We’re delighted that Sean has agreed to join Glamorgan for the next two years.

“Sean is one of the most explosive middle-order T20 batters in the country, and is a proven top four option in 4-day cricket.

“With Sam Northeast heading back to Kent, Sean will add to the experience of our batting unit and we’re looking forward to welcoming him to Wales.”
