KNOWLE battled to a hard-fought 2-1 victory away at Birmingham OJM to stretch their winning run to five matches in all competitions.
The Robins raced into a two-goal lead inside 10 minutes before the home side halved the deficit in a frantic contest at Illey Lane.

And the result means Knowle sit third in the Midland Football League Division One table.

The Robins made the perfect start when Talib Copeland pounced on a mistake at the back and dribbled the ball into an empty net after just three minutes.

And Knowle doubled their lead on 10 minutes as Flynn Powell planted a trademark header into the net from a corner at the back post.

Birmingham responded on the half-hour mark when Reece Morris’s volley crept over the line following a scramble in the box.

Despite a frantic end-to-end second period, the Robins hung on to their lead to extend their winning run to five matches.

Knowle are next in action against Allexton and New Parks on Saturday, September 13 with kick-off at 3pm at Glenfield Road.
