A teenage boy has been stabbed at a college in Birmingham and taken to hospital with serious injuries, according to police.

West Midlands Police were called to reports of a stabbing at University College Birmingham on Summer Row at around 15:30 BST on Wednesday, where a 17-year-old boy was found with stab injuries.

A police spokesperson said the injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.

The force added an investigation had been launched to identify who was involved.
