Grand Slam tournaments are the biggest stage for tennis players, but not everyone has enjoyed playing them in recent times.
There have been four different winners of the women’s singles events at Grand Slams this year, with Aryna Sabalenka winning the US Open.
Sabalenka had lost her two previous finals, with Madison Keys winning the Australian Open and Coco Gauff lifting the Roland Garros title after beating her.
Iga Swiatek won Wimbledon, but her compatriot has not won a Grand Slam match in over two years.

Magda Linette reached the Australian Open semifinals in 2023 and has been ranked as high as world number 19.
The Pole has produced some impressive results this year, having beaten the likes of Gauff and Jessica Pegula, and is still ranked inside the top 40.
However, Linette has really struggled at the Grand Slam tournaments, where she has lost her last nine consecutive matches.
The latest of those came against American McCartney Kessler at the US Open, who beat Linette in straight sets.
Linette’s last win at a major tournament came at the 2023 US Open, when she beat Aliaksandra Sasnovich in the first round.
The closest she has come to ending her losing run came at the Australian Open earlier this year, where Linette had a match point against Moyuka Uchijima after leading 5-3 in the deciding set.
It has not gone well for Linette since her last Grand Slam match either, having retired from her first round match at the Guadalajara Open against Emiliana Arango after losing the first set 6-0.
Who is the highest ranked ATP player not to win a single Grand Slam match this year?
Linette is the highest ranked player on the WTA Tour who has not won a Grand Slam match this year, while on the ATP Tour it is world number 38 Alexandre Muller.
Muller has enjoyed a breakout season this year and is currently at his career-high ranking after winning his first ATP title in Hong Kong and reaching the final of the Rio Open.
However, this form has not translated to the Grand Slams, with Muller losing in the first round at every major tournament this year.
Three of these defeats have come against seeded players, including Muller losing to Novak Djokovic at Wimbledon.
Muller will be hoping to have a good end to the 2025 season, which could enable him to be seeded for the Australian Open next year.
The Frenchman may be the highest ranked ATP player not to win a Grand Slam match in 2025, but former US Open champion Daniil Medvedev has only beaten one player at a major tournament this year.
