Leeds United made one major error in the summer. Robbie Evans describes it as a good window, but a bad end. Most Leeds fans would disagree with that verdict.
Yes, 10 signings have been made and more than £100m spent. Leeds reached their PSR limit, according to Evans, and any further signings would mean Leeds would have to sell a player before June 30’s deadline.
But Daniel Farke was desperate for another attacker, urging the club to sign a new forward, or Leeds may be in difficulty. Harry Wilson was the one for Leeds, the one who would knit the summer’s work together.
Nine of the 10 signings were above 6ft, making them a physical presence from set-pieces. Having lost Joe Rothwell, Leeds lack a set-piece specialist. Harry Wilson would have solved it, so would Eduard Spertsyan.

Beren Cross said Leeds wanted Armenia and Krasnodar ace Spertsyan in the latter knockings of the window. Amid the links, Spertsyan laid on a brilliant assist during Krasnodar’s draw with CSKA Moscow.
Spertsyan form for Krasnodar and Armenia:
But soon after, Spertsyan ruled out a move until at least the winter, going against Andrey Arshavin’s prediction of a move in the summer. He has remained, and he is showing Leeds exactly what they lack.
Already this summer, having clocked up 13 appearances for club and country, Spertsyan has had a hand in a whopping 14 goals. Five goals and eight assists for Krasnodar, and a goal against Ireland for Armenia.

Leeds should keep tabs on Eduard Spertsyan and Harry Wilson
Reports say Leeds could still sign Wilson in January, if he does not sign new terms with Fulham before the winter window. Graeme Bailey told LeedsUnited.News it depends on his game time over the next months.

Wilson remains out of contract. While Evans claims Leeds won’t sign anyone in January, reports say Leeds are open to making moves in the winter window. But interest should also remain in signing Spertsyan.
The Armenian ace rejected Southampton in the summer but the chances are, if he continues his sparkling form, other clubs will become interested. Leeds need to stay vigilant and move for Spertsyan in January.
