After a week of travel misery across the capital, Londoners are bracing for further transport delays across the weekend due to scheduled line closures.
Although strike action across TfL services ends this morning and underground congestion is expected to ease by midday, those relying on public transport across the weekend should also be prepared for some delays to their journeys.
It comes as TfL bosses invited RMT union staff to join further discussions after around 10,000 staff members walked out this week in protest over pay and working hours, plunging the capital into chaos.
As we look ahead toward the weekend, it seems like several line closures will be in place and rail replacement services are in operation across parts of London’s tube network.
According to Transport for London, the District, Elizabeth, and Piccadilly lines will experience delays, as well as ongoing disruption to the Dockland Light Railway (DLR).
From essential engineering works to station upgrades, here’s everything you need to know to avoid getting caught out and ensure your weekend goes as smoothly as possible.
Here are all the line closures this weekend.
