Strictly‘s La Voix thinks Dani Dyer is her biggest competition for the Glitterball trophy, joking that the star has been faking slip-ups on the dancefloor.
The RuPaul’s Drag Race UK star and Love Island’s Dani are among the crop of celebs lining up for the new series of the BBC ballroom contest, which gets under way later this month.
While Strictly fans are eagerly waiting to see them dance for the first time, the contestants themselves have had a peek at each other’s moves in rehearsals and when filming the launch show.
La Voix has now told Cosmopolitan UK that she thinks Dani is playing down her dance skills and that she is going to give her a run for her money.

“Well, I think Dani Dyer is actually secretly… I think she’s keeping things up her sleeve,” La Voix said when quizzed about her biggest competition.
“I think she’s a very good dancer, by the looks of it. And I think she was pretending to get things wrong so she could, you know, show a bit of a journey.

“Between you and me, I think she’s going to be brilliant. I think she picked up the moves very easily.”
Dani has previously shared that she has some dance experience, as she attended theatre school at weekends as a child.
The Mirror recently reported that she wrote in her 2019 book: “I’m not a bad singer but it was the dance stuff I loved more – jazz, tap, ballet, modern.”

Other stars in the Strictly Come Dancing line-up this year include Olympian and Gladiators star Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, actress Alex Kingston, presenter Ross King, TV star Vicky Pattison, Neighbours legend Stefan Dennis and Ellie Goldstein, who made history when she became the first model with Down syndrome to grace the cover of British Vogue.
La Voix said she also reckons Ellie is one to watch in the ballroom, citing her dance skills but also “her passion and her energy”.
“And I think she’s going to be really fired up every single week,” she added.
Strictly Come Dancing 2025 kicks off on BBC One on Saturday, September 20.
