The body of a 56-year-old man has been discovered at a property in Edinburgh.
Emergency services descended on New Lairdship Place in the town at around noon on Saturday September 13 following the report of a death.
Shocked locals noticed the road had been locked down with one commenting there was a ‘serious police presence,’ reports Edinburgh Live.

The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal shortly.
An eye witness, who wished to remain anonymous, previously said: “Broomhouse is normally a really quite place during the day and you don’t normally see an emergency service response like that in a residential street.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report of the death of a 56-year-old man at a property on New Lairdship Place, Edinburgh, around 12pm on Saturday, 13 September, 2025.
