Ofsted visited Co-op Academy Parkland, on Old Park Road between Greengates and Thorpe Edge, on June 24 and 25.
It received a ‘good’ rating across all categories, including quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, leadership and management, and early years provision.
The report said the school “puts pupils and their families at the heart of everything it does” and acts as a “haven for the community”.
The report said: “Pupils and staff are inspired to, ‘do what matters most, be yourself always, show you care and succeed together’.
“These values shine through the broad and ambitious curriculum and nurturing ethos.
“They are at the heart of the school’s successful and rapid improvement. The enthusiasm and dedication of the whole school community to make the school the best it can be is palpable.
“The school is a calm, welcoming place, where relationships are warm and respectful. There are high expectations for pupils’ learning and behaviour.
“Pupils concentrate in lessons, feel safe and behave well. They know staff will help them with any difficulties or worries that they may have.”
