Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton will return to screens tonight in an exciting episode of The Hit List. The popular BBC programme, hosted by Rochelle and Marvin Humes, sees the contestants test their music memory skills to name as many songs and artists as possible to win a whopping cash prize.

Stacey and Kevin will be working together on the show, but it isn’t the first time the TV stars have worked alongside each other. They first met when they were partnered up on the 2018 edition of Strictly Come Dancing.

Their romance blossomed on the way to lifting the glitterball and their relationship has continued to go from strength to strength since. The happy couple welcomed their daughter, Minnie into the world two years ago.

They decided that Liverpool was the perfect place to raise their family and made the move in 2023. Professional dancer Kevin has previously explained how the decision came as Stacey wanted to be closer to her mum, who is from Liverpool.

The family knew they had to make the idea a reality from the moment they set their eyes on their stunning new home in Merseyside. The 42-year-old professional dancer told the ECHO last year: “Stacey loves looking at houses on the internet. Looking at interiors and stuff is her favourite thing to do.

“She just happened to have seen something she liked and thought ‘oh it’s not too far away from my mum’. We went and had a look and the second she walked in was like ‘I love it and I can really see us living here’. It all happened really quickly and we love it.” He added: “Our little girl is going to be raised as a Scouser.”

Stacey regularly shares insights into her new home’s renovation project to her 1.2m followers on Instagram. Aside from their busy lives in the showbiz world, the couple still take the time to pick up some bits and pieces for their home.

In a recent post on social media, Stacey uploaded a video showcasing an elegant flower arrangement on her cream marble coffee table. She finished off the simple display with two tall candles.

The documentary maker also shares regular updates about the artwork she purchases for her house. In June, Stacey informed viewers that her stunning piece from Jessie Woodward was finally up on the wall.

She wrote in a post on Instagram: “@jessieabstract is FINALLY up in the hall. Such a beautiful gift. Ta so SO much. Love it. Nothing I love more than being at home. So v lucky.”

The painting was on display on a nude coloured wall, placed close to a gorgeous stained glass window. Completing the hallway was an elegant hanging light fixture. Through the door, followers can see into a living room which appears to be painted sage green with a dark grey fireplace.

There are also several posts showcasing the property’s large bay window. The area has been decorated on multiple occasions to celebrate mother’s day and Stacey’s birthday.

One post saw the window decorated with pink balloons spelling out “Mummy”. The room is completed with brown leather sofas and a fluffy throw over. The room appears to have a gorgeous high ceiling which is painted brown.

As well as renovating their home together, Stacey and Kevin are currently working together professionally for the first time in seven years. Earlier this year, the couple announced they will star together in a new production of hit play, 2:22: A Ghost Story. The tour will see the happy couple reunite in a professional capacity for the first time since they won the BBC dancing show.

Kevin helped Stacey get cast in 2:22 A Ghost Story after he complimented her acting to his long-time friend, the show’s director Matthew Dunster. Kevin left Strictly in 2020 after seven years on the BBC show and he added starring in musicals, including Chicago and Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, to his career credits.

The professional dancer was blown away when he first saw his partner perform as lead character Jenny in August 2024. Speaking on The All That Chat podcast, he said: “I was nervous going to see it because I just wanted it to go right for her. And I went to see her do it, and I was like, ‘Oh my God. She’s better than me. She’s amazing. She’s really good.'”

In between rehearsals, the family have been making the most of their time living in Merseyside. They were recently in attendance to watch Liverpool and Everton go head-to-head in the women’s Merseyside derby at Anfield last weekend.

Stacey shared a photo of Minnie wearing a Liverpool FC kit with “Dooley” on the back. Stacey wrote: “The Queen’s first Anfield appearance. She LOVES footie.

“Was looking forward to it all week and then had the hump all day because I wouldn’t let her wear her paso heels to the game 2 year olds are ALWAYS ON THE HUSTLE AMIRITE? Anfield thank you, u da BEST.”
