A climber has been airlifted to hospital after suffering a fall. Air ambulance and Coastguard helicopters were called to Llandudno on Saturday, September 13.
The Wales Air Ambulance landed on the promenade while a Coastguard helicopter was in the air above the coastal town. North Wales Live reports that the Coastguard winched a climber off the Little Orme and it is understood they were taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor. A spokesperson for the Coastguard said: “HM Coastguard responded to reports that a climber had fallen on Little Orme, Llandudno, today (13 September).

“Alerted at around 3.30pm a coastguard search and rescue helicopter was sent to the scene. The male was rescued by the helicopter and taken to hospital for onward care.”

An eyewitness from nearby also shared their account of the incident. Mike Parry said: “Good job by all the emergency agencies involved. Huge job to coordinate it all.”
After the climber was taken to hospital by the Coastguard helicopter, the Wales Air Ambulance returned to its base in Caernarfon.
