Air India Boeing 787 flight AI2015 to London just diverted to Birmingham

A flight from New Delhi to London Heathrow diverted to Birmingham tonight.

Air India flight AI2015 departed New Delhi at at 13:43 IST this Saturday for a 10-hour flight to London Heathrow.

Tonight, while cruise at 40,000 feet over The Channel, the Boeing 787-9 (registration VT-TSP) changed its flight path and was vectored to Birmingham Airport for a reason still unknown.

The airline confirmed the diversion with a landed at 7:32 PM at BHX Airport with a new departure scheduled at 8:50 PM to reach Heathrow Airport.

The flight departed Birmingham and reached London Heathrow in 26 minutes.
