A man was rushed to hospital after he was stabbed in a Birmingham street in an early-morning attack.
It happened in Hamstead Road, Handsworth, just before 12.45am today, Sunday, September 14.
The victim was a man in his 40s. He was expected to survive, West Midlands Police said.

The circumstances of the incident were not known but a blue police tent was erected and a cordon was in place.

Police said: “We were called to Hamstead Road, Handsworth, just before 12.45am today (Sunday), where a man in his 40s was found with stab injuries.
“He was taken to hospital to be assessed for injuries, which are thankfully not life threatening. Officers are investigating to establish what exactly happened, and a scene is being held.
