A man has died after being found injured at a Scots holiday park.

Emergency services raced to Rothesay Gardens at Wemyss Bay Holiday Park in Inverclyde after receiving reports of a man being found injured at 12.05am on Sunday.

Crews attended and the man, aged 33, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 21-year-old man and 28-year-old woman have been arrested in connection with an alleged assault.

Police say inquiries into the death are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson told our sister title, Glasgow Live: “Around 12.05am on Sunday, 14 September, 2025, officers were called to a report of a man having been injured on Rothesay Gardens, Wemyss Bay.

“Emergency services attended, and a 33-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

“A 21-year-old man and 28-year-old woman have been arrested in connection with assault and enquiries are ongoing.”
