A number of Liverpool attractions are rated top in the world after visitors left them with glowing reviews. Everything from beautiful cathedrals, museums and football stadiums have received global acclaim, with many sitting right under our noses on a daily basis.
TripAdvisor’sTravellers’ Choice Awards title celebrates the highest level of excellence in travel. It’s awarded to those who receive a high volume of above-and-beyond reviews and opinions from the TripAdvisor community over a 12-month period.
Over the past few months, numerous attractions have earned a spot on the 2025 list, with several new additions in just the last few days.
In Liverpool’s top 30 attractions, the 23 Travellers’ Choice must-see locations include:
- Merseyside Maritime Museum
- Western Approaches HQ Museum
- Liverpool Central Library
The Liverpool Tourist Information Centre also received the honour as a welcoming first point of contact for visitors. Located in the heart of the city, the team provides up-to-date information on attractions, events, tours, transport, and accommodation across the Liverpool City Region.
Liverpool Cathedral made the list for a second consecutive year. The accolade follows last month’s announcement that the cathedral became the second in the world to join the Bloomberg Connects App, linking it to a growing network of cultural institutions across Liverpool and beyond.
Mersey Ferries is celebrating its fifth consecutive inclusion. Liverpool City Region Mayor Steve Rotheram, said: “Once again the Mersey Ferries have won a Travellers’ Choice Award.
“I’d like to thank all of our staff for all of their efforts in achieving this incredible recognition. And if you haven’t been on one of our ferries for a while why not come and experience a ferry ‘cross the Mersey!'”
