A man who abducted a child before sexually assaulting her at his house has been convicted.
Mohammed Abdulraziq, 32, from Birmingham, was arrested after being discovered in the house in Winson Green with a five-year-old girl, on 30 March.
The girl was playing in the street when Abdulraziq took her into the house, West Midlands Police said, quickly prompting her mother and a friend to launch a search and spotted her after hearing her cries, before she was rescued.
Abdulraziq was found guilty of false imprisonment with intent to commit a sexual offence, sexual assault and assault, following a trial at Birmingham Crown Court.
