Seven dangerous vehicles were taken off the road and 38 more pulled over as part of the op yesterday (Tuesday September 16).

West Midlands Police said the stops resulted in three people being arrested – two for suspected immigration offences and one on suspicion of burglary.

They found 12 illegally tinted windows, eight illegal number plates, one vehicle with dangerous tyres, one with no MOT, four drivers with no licence, seven vehicles with no insurance, four dangerously overloaded vehicles and one with a broken indicator.

The targeted operation formed part of OpAdvance which sees 24 hours of multi-agency law enforcement activity.
