Officers are hunting a driver who fled the scene following a crash on a major Salford road.

Emergency services attended the A6 Broad Street, Pendleton, in the early hours of this morning (September 20) following a crash involving two cars.

The major road, which runs between Salford Crescent and the East Lancs Road, was shut from Cross Lane to Broughton Road following the collision.

Greater Manchester Police confirmed one of the drivers involved in the crash made off from the scene.

The force says work is ongoing to locate them this morning (Saturday).

According to GMP, the other driver involved suffered minor injuries in the collision.

Broad Street has since fully reopened following the incident.
