Patrick J. Adams says he still carries lessons from working with Meghan Markle on Suits.

The 44-year-old actor reflected on his time with the Duchess of Sussex during an interview with PEOPLE, crediting her with teaching him a simple but lasting Travel hack.

Adams said the conversation came up while discussing his possible appearance in an upcoming season of With Love, Meghan, alongside his wife, Troian Bellisario. He joked about helping with food segments on the show, then shared how Markle had once shown him “tricks of the trade,” and said, “One of the best things I learned from Meghan was how to pack a bag instead of just throwing stuff in.”

“You could imagine Meghan would be like, ‘You pack a bag by folding it perfectly and putting [dryer sheets].'”

He added that the dryer sheet tip struck him as “so genius” and something he “never would have thought of.”

Adams and Markle starred on Suits together from season one back in 2011. Their characters, Mike Ross and Rachel Zane, developed a romance that led to marriage on the show.

Markle departed the series in 2017, ahead of her wedding to Prince Harry in May 2018. Adams later returned for the show’s ninth and final season before it concluded in 2019.

The actor said he would be open to a reunion. “I am open to it,” he said. “It’s a group of people that we got along [with] and we had this amazing experience together, and we had this rare situation where it got even more popular after we all dispersed, so I don’t know.”

He added, “I always feel like with these things, if the demand is there and ultimately the script and the story are of interest, and it makes sense, then I think anything is possible. You know these things can feel like money grabs sometimes, just like, ‘Let’s just take advantage of the popularity of this thing,’ and I think everybody involved would want it to be something pure of purpose and really do justice to the original.”

Adams has revisited the series recently while co-hosting Sidebar; A Suits Watch Podcast with co-star Sarah Rafferty.

Markle reached out to him. “Upon hearing about the podcast, I got a lovely text, saying how excited she was for us and asking how she could help in any way,” Adams said in an October 2024 Reddit thread.

Markle also spoke to PEOPLE earlier this year about Suits’ newfound popularity on Netflix.

“I’m not surprised that people are rediscovering Suits, because it was so well written and so well produced,” she said.
