Wrexham star Josh Windass’ wonderful performance against Norwich City has sent Sheffield Wednesday fans into further frenzy.

Wrexham beat Norwich City 3-2, making it two successive Championship victories on the road.

The Red Dragons were behind at the interval, but came to life in the second half, with Josh Windass notably shining for Wrexham.

While Ryan Longman also got on the scoresheet, it was Windass who stole the show at Carrow Road.

Windass found himself out of action in the early stages of the season due to injury, but has since returned in formidable form, with his second goal notably showing the quality that he brings to the side.

Wrexham fans know that Windass is a brilliant talent, and his recent performance against the Canaries has sparked a reaction from fans of his former club, Sheffield Wednesday.

Josh Windass bagged a ‘brilliant’ brace for Wrexham, taking his tally to three Championship goals.

It was a phenomenal piece of business, in hindsight, for Wrexham to bring in the forward from Sheffield Wednesday on a free transfer, with his former club facing problems under the stewardship of former owner Dejphon Chansiri.

Sheffield Wednesday supporters knew that he would be sorely missed at Hillsborough, and they have reiterated those views after his latest terrific showing.

Reacting on X, one Sheffield Wednesday fan said: “Just seen Windass’ second goal, yeah I miss him man.”

Another supporter stated that they were ‘still absolutely fuming about Windass leaving’.

One fan was unsurprised to see ‘Windass back & scoring for Wrexham again’, as one claimed that ‘we all told you he’d be your best player’.

Throughout the 2025/26 Championship campaign, Kieffer Moore has led the way as Wrexham’s biggest goal threat.

While some believed that Moore was the only proven goalscorer in the side, something that could prove to be unsustainable, that has been discounted by the recent showing of Josh Windass.

Phil Parkinson now surely knows that both Moore and Windass are pivotal to his plans, with the pair showing an abundance of goalscoring promise.

Wrexham’s counter-attacking style worked well with both Moore and Windass in the side, and hopefully it is a positive sign of things to come for the Red Dragons.
