Stacey Dooley shared a candid admission about her relationship with Kevin Clifton, opening up about their sex life since becoming parents

Stacey Dooley has laid bare her relationship woes with partner Kevin Clifton, two years after the arrival of their daughter. The 38-year-old former Strictly Come Dancing champion and 42-year-old Kevin have gone from strength to strength since their 2018 win, and they became parents to their adorable daughter, Minnie, in January 2023.
Despite the joys of parenthood, Stacey candidly shared one of the challenges she’s faced since becoming a mother. During an appearance on the Parenting Hell podcast with Rob Beckett and Josh Widdicombe, she admitted that their sex life has taken a backseat as their daughter sleeps in their bed. However, Stacey said she’s not bothered by it, as she’s completely content cuddling up to their two-year-old.
Stacey admitted: “We need to start remembering how to have sex.” She went on: “Minnie is in our bed. I am sort of not really ar**d. I know there’s such emphasis on getting kids in their own bed, but I think it’s because Kev is away so much anyway. What am I doing otherwise? Maybe when Kev is back on the scene, we will start remembering how you have sex.

“Then maybe I would think, Minnie, you’re going to have to go and hang out in your own bedroom now.” For now, Stacey is cherishing every moment with her little girl and even doesn’t mind going to bed at 8pm to avoid disrupting Minnie’s routine.
Stacey shared that she and Kevin are often tired from their busy day and often get an early night before anything can happen. She confessed: “Of an evening we’ll have something to eat, then I’ll put her in the bath. “We have a bit of a chat, put her PJ’s on and we just end up getting in my bed together. ‘We watch one episode of Paddington then go to sleep. I am going to bed early, at 8pm. I love it, honestly!”

It comes just days after the duo announced they are set to star in the acclaimed paranormal stage drama 2:22 A Ghost Story.
Kicking off an extensive tour of the UK, the gripping production will debut at Manchester Opera House on August 4, running until November 2025.
As well as Manchester, the show will also visit Bristol, Glasgow, Sunderland, Milton Keynes, Malvern, Stoke-on-Trent, Brighton, Birmingham, Cheltenham, Guildford, Crawley, Southampton, Buxton, and Peterborough. Stacey, reprising her role as Jenny from her spell at the Gielgud Theatre in 2024, will be joined on stage by her partner Kevin, who’s stepping into the role of Jenny’s husband, Sam. During an interview with BBC Breakfast, the TV star revealed that she and Kevin will also be taking their daughter on tour with them.
