Manchester is of course a city of music, and a particular penchant of ours is indie music – what with the likes of Oasis, The Charlatans and so many more coming from our neck of the woods. Now, to celebrate 10 years of the brand, Radio X, the home to huge rock and indie tunes, has announced that it will host a huge, exclusive gig in Manchester this November, aptly named Radio X is Ten Live – and the line-up is set to be amazing.

When is Radio X is Ten Live?

Preparing to play a homecoming show in front of local fans, Stockport‘s indie heroes Blossoms, known for hits likeCharlemagne,The Honeymoon and Your Girlfriend, have become one of the UK’s standout guitar bands over the past decade, and released their fifth studio album, ‘Gary’, to critical acclaim last year.

Joining the bill is Liverpool’s Circa Waves, who will bring their indie rock sound to Manchester, having carved out a reputation as one of the UK’s most energetic live bands over the past 10 years with hits like T-Shirt Weather and Movies. Alongside them, best known for his youthful blend of rock, blues and folk on tracks like Lightning Bolt, Zombieland, and All I Need, Nottingham-born singer and friend of the station Jake Bugg will also take to the stage just over a year after the release of his sixth studio album, ‘A Modern Day Distraction‘.

Earlier this year, Hard-Fi celebrated their own milestone occasion – 20 years of their 2005 debut album, ‘Stars of CCTV‘ – now, the ’00s indie legends will bring their huge, nostalgic sound to the O2 Apollo Manchester to celebrate a decade of Radio X.

And to set the mood for the evening, Radio X’s own Sunta Templeton, who has been with the station for the entirety of its 10 years, will be behind the decks to kick the evening off, bringing the Manchester crowd a barrage of indie bangers ahead of and in between the artists taking the stage.
